-dreamy saturday

it was a saturday for portfolios.
what do you get when you cross 2 photographers, a fitness model, a music officianado and a suuuuper blogger?
a jam packed photo shoot in central phoenix with plenty of opportunities to get shot and probably the coolest group of people on the planet. seriously. anyone observing wondered what we were up to and how they could be a part of it.

best taste in music around these parts.
coming soon: audreylasalle.com

nicholas marion.

it's super fun eating your face off at thanksgiving dinner while sitting next to THIS chick:
yep. that's kym. and she's not ugly or fat.
but she is really talented and musical and these are some shots for her upcoming tour and album.
good job on not sucking.

and sorry for being in the way while you were taking a picture of that tree........

-the mormon inside rears it's head

i got a little cutesy this year with breana's birthday.
brea is brooks's best friend.
always has been.
i had a couple of ideas for her gift this year but when the right one hit me- it made me tear up.
i had this little idea of making brooks and breana dolls with velcro hands.
so even when she feels too old to play with dolls, she'll still have these as keepsakes.
i drew up the patterns and went for it.
and i had tears the whole time i did it.
they're perfectly imperfect.

there's also a fran (brea's cat)

we love our little breana.

-pretty drizzle (the song)

i'm starting to put together the photo shoots of my dreams.
it's a combination of amazing people + rad locations + radder weather + creative control + random songs playing in my head.

this was my favorite photo shoot to date.
and not just because maya is vietnawish or jewnamese.
tomato tomaaaaato.

-skate and destroy

this one time i was pulling into the neighborhood and i saw audrey on her son's skateboard.
i said "hey. i wanna do that."
shortly after, she text me an invite to shred down at the park.
i felt so cool, so hip and to avoid acting overly excited, i turned her down.
we rescheduled for that night, because all of the real awesome skate tuffs roll at night.
(and because that's the only time our husbands could be home to babysit and it would be harder for others to see our wipe outs).
it was the best, best, best.
and then like the good suburban housewives we are, we capped our gnarly night off with lavender soda, some minty kombucha and a tub of gluten free chocolate chip cookies.

this was my first time and audrey's 4th and a half time.

-the best

we have the best babysitter.
she's loving, so so so funny, responsible and her family lives 4 houses away.
Let it be documented- she makes our life sweeter.
(brooks knows her name but prefers calling her "the tall one with yellow hair that plays volleyball").
here's some images of her and her younger siblings.
